Networking We provide networking solutions to meet our client's needs. This can be wireless, wired Category 5, or a combination of both. We "think out of the box" in regard to solutions, and have hard wired "wireless" routers in residential or office locations where they will maximize coverage of the area - often away from the cable or DSL modem, or utilized more than one wireless router as "access points" to maximize coverage in large residences or buildings. This can involve wiring routers at opposite ends of a building, or on separate floors. We meet each client's individual needs. New construction - Keep computer wires separate Many phone installers or electricians install only one Category 5 wire to each phone jack and label the house and rooms as "telephone and computer ready" or "networked for computers." This will cost you more labor in the long run (separating wires or re-wiring phone jacks), may interfere with your telephones, or may not even be possible to combine the two if you are running more than one telephone number in the building. For maximum network performance, have a separate category 5 wire run for each location where you want a computer, and have them all end at the same end-point - in a basement, closet or garage by a power outlet (for network switches, routers, and modems). You will have better network performance, ease of setup and installation for your hardware, and substantially reduce any labor costs you will incur later. If in doubt, call us. We do this kind of work all the time and will be happy to do it for you or oversee the project to make sure that it's done right. You can have your builder's electricians or phone technicians do the wiring, and for only an hour or two of our time consulting to oversee the work, you will know that it's done correctly. We can then connect everything together when your computers are in place. Want more information? (609) 921-0704 -or-
